Frequently Asked Questions

Eyebrow Tatoo

  • Over time we have tried various numbing techniques and have developed a process that is effective and also works very quickly. In our studio, most people tolerate a permanent eyebrow procedure very well and some clients even fall asleep!

  • A new set of Microbladed eyebrows takes two appointments to complete.

The technique and art of microblading is very delicate and for this reason it needs two visits to ensure that all the strokes are evenly saturated with pigment.

The second appointment is called a complementary touchup and takes place 6 to 12 weeks after the initial appointment after the pigments settled into the skin.

In this complementary touchup, the artist makes any needed adjustments and ensures each hair-stroke has even color.

  • Absolutely not! Some stray hairs may be cleaned up if they are outside of the defined area for your new eyebrow shape but the rest of your hairs will stay. Your new brows will blend with your existing brow hair.

  • Please find out from Prepare and Aftercare page!

  • Brows will take about 4- 6 weeks until they reach their final look. But it only takes 2 weeks for scabbing process to complete.

After 2 weeks you can return to normal routine and activities.

Find out more at PREPARE and AFTERCARE page !

  • Microblading is considered semi-permanent. The pigments are designed to fade over time naturally. Factors such as skin type, iron deficiency, lifestyle, pigment color (lighter colors fade faster), and sun exposure can affect the rate at which these pigments are broken down. Microblading typically requires a minimum of two sessions. Touch-ups are normal and expected.

*Please note that final results cannot be guaranteed as everyone retains and breaks down pigment differently,

  • While every person is different and some heal more quickly or slowly than others, here’s generally what to expect following your eyebrow procedure:

Day 1 to 2 which begins in a few days, will cause the excess pigment surrounding the eyebrow to flake away and a more narrow appearance will result. New skin will heal over the pigmented area and result in a softer appearance of your eyebrows. Don’t be concerned that your eyebrows initially appear darker and heavier in size than you desire. This is all part of the process.

Day 2 Conditions remain the same, do not worry! Trust the process.

Day 3 Eyebrows start to itch and will appear a bit thicker in texture. Exfoliation begins.

Day 4 The skin begins to flake, peeling from the outside edges first. Please do not pick at the scabs.

Day 5 Color finishes flaking off and appears softer and grayer for a few days until color clarifies.

Day 7 The color has lightened from its initial overly-dark appearance. For the next few days, the color may now be lighter than what the final color will be.

Day 8-10 The final color begins to stabilize and show through

Day 11 to 30 Pigment can disappear and reappear after two weeks so please be patient with final results after 1 month

Day 30 You should see your final results at this stage. If you would like to do a follow-up touch-up, please Book Here.

Lip Tattoo

  • This information is provided to ensure that there is minimal bleeding during the tattooing procedure. Failure to follow the below instructions can result in poor healed results. Bleeding during the procedure forces the pigment to be pushed out of the skin.

    • Do not consume any caffeine or alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment. This includes coffee, energy drinks, pre-workout and tea. Do not take fish oils for a week before your treatment. Caffeine, alcohol & fish oils act as a blood thinner, causing you to potentially bleed during the process. This will stop the cosmetic tattoo pigment from holding in the skin during the tattoo process!

    • You should be using a lip scrub and lip balm every day for ONE WEEK leading up to your appointment. Lip scrub daily with a mix of sugar and olive/coconut oil (make up a small jar of 1 tbsp of sugar and 1 tsp of your chosen oil, alternatively you can purchase a lip scrub but this recipe does just the same!) and use this daily. You should also be using an ultra-hydrating & moisturising lip balm to get those lips smooth & soft! This allows the pigment to go into the skin easily, as well as the numbing cream to be effective.

    • If you suffer from cold sores you will need to take anti-viral tablets 1 week before and after the appointment. This is to stop the risk of infection! A cosmetic lip tattoo will trigger an outbreak if you do suffer from cold sores, so it is highly recommended that you take these tablets! Even if you do not suffer from cold sores it is always a good idea to take anti-viral medication too.

    • You won't be able to heavily exercise (cause the face to sweat), use a sauna, swim or tan for ONE week. Moderate exercise is fine.

    • Facials & skin peels should be avoided for one week pre & post tattooing.

    • Lip filler should be done 1 month before or 2 months after your lip blush appointment.

    • You may experience hypersensitivity and more pain around or before your menstrual cycle.

  • Following the aftercare instructions is extremely important in order to ensure good retention of colour during the healing process. Aftercare accounts for over 60% of the healed results.

    • Apply any medicated cream or healing balm as recommended by your technician. The cream should be applied for up to 7 days. Do not let the lips dry out - they should always have some form of aftercare balm or healing balm on at ALL TIMES! Aftercare cream can be purchased at your appointment for $30.

    • Avoid getting the area wet for up to 7 days, which includes keeping your face dry during a shower. Use a damp face cloth or face wipe to clean your face.

    • Use a damp cotton pad to gently wipe the area for the first day. This will reduce the build up of lymph fluid as the lips heal and reduce the chances of scabbing.

    • Don’t put makeup on your lips for at least 10 days. This is because the skin is still healing. Applying makeup to the lips will increase the chance of infection.

    • Don’t pick at scabs, tug, or itch the eyebrow area. Again, this will increase the chance of infection and possibly cause skin damage and scarring.

    • Avoid saunas, swimming, and excessive sweating until the area is completely healed, which may take up to two weeks.

    • Drink from a straw! You want to keep the lips dry!

    • Do not eat spicy foods! Ouch…

    • Avoid kissing while the lips are healing! SORRY!

    • Long Term Aftercare: Wear lip balm that has at least SPF 15+ in it! Sun exposure over a prolonged period of time will fade the tattoo. Do not use strong chemical acids/ peels (salicylic, glycolic, lactic acids), IPL or laser on the healed cosmetic tattoo, as these will fade the tattoo over time.

    • Healing time: 5 - 7 days

    • Your lips will appear a lot darker and intense than what they will look like once healed. You need to trust the healing process! Over the first few days they will be at their darkest. They might scab and flake, this is completely normal. While they heal, this will fade to reveal a much lighter colour. The lips tend to fade around 70-80%! Please keep in mind that everyone’s skin will heal differently! The true colour of the tattoo will not be revealed until after 6 weeks. The touch up is then completed at 6-8 weeks to perfect any areas that need some extra attention, as well as add more colour if needed!
